I’m involved long before the wedding day and intentional about every step leading up to it.
From planning your engagement session to shaping a timeline that leaves room to breathe, I help create a flow that allows the day to unfold naturally. I work closely with your planner and vendors so you don’t have to think about logistics.
I’m constantly paying attention to what’s happening around the moment, not just inside it. I listen closely during the ceremony, watch for reactions during speeches, and follow the natural flow of the dance floor as the night builds.
Because of this, you don’t have to think about where I am or what’s being captured. You get to stay present, move naturally, and fully enjoy your day, trusting that the moments that matter most are being held for you.
I’m always your lead photographer. Most wedding collections include a second shooter to help capture multiple perspectives and moments happening simultaneously. Any second photographer I bring works closely with me and aligns with my approach and style. I personally curate and edit every final image.
The second shooter is required in most of my wedding packages, especially weddings with more than 50 guests. The second shooter is necessary for capturing the getting ready of your fiance while I’m with you, capturing more candids/reactions of guests and the overall day and covers any area I am not in. They also serve as a backup JUST in case something happens to me on the wedding day or I am not able to make it to your wedding due to an act of God, pregnancy, illness, death, etc.
Yes, in a very minimal and intentional way. I use AI-assisted tools within Photoshop for small refinements like removing a temporary distraction in the background or a blemish that will naturally fade. Think trash cans, exit signs, or a quick pimple, not altering bodies, faces, or reality.
I do not use AI to generate images, change how people look, or create moments that did not actually happen. Every photograph you receive is a real moment, captured by me, edited by hand, and grounded in honesty and care.
To lock me in, you pay a non-refundable retainer. The remaining payment is due 30 days before the wedding day and 7 days before a session. You can request a payment plan for the remaining payment, just let me know. The retainer is non-refundable because it serves as an agreement between us that I will reserve your day and will not book other weddings/sessions during your day and/or time.
I offer albums and a variety of printed products through your personal online gallery. I highly advise clients to print directly through the online gallery for high quality and the convenience! You wouldn't have to download then re-upload the photos to another print provider, you can just create your album/prints super easily through me. You can order beautiful printed photos to frame yourself, framed prints, save the date cards, thank you cards, holiday cards, calendars, photo albums..you name it!. PLUS, I give ya discounts for prints through out the year!
4-8 weeks for weddings and elopements. 1-2 weeks for sessions. Your final edited photos will be in a beautiful, custom online gallery and I’ll send that via email. The online gallery and link will be available to you for 18 months. You have the option to purchase a yearly subscription gallery hosting and backup to keep your gallery online.
This is thoroughly explained in my contract. Your retainer fee is non-refundable for the date you book with me as it served to reserve the day and I turned down other inquiries. Depending on the circumstances, if you need to change your date you can sign a cancellation/rescheduling contract and book a new date with a new contract and a possible retainer fee.
Yes and no. Because I'm an over-shooter I like to make sure I don't miss anything. Thus having multiple images of the same thing, test shots, un-usable images, etc. I go through every single photo to pick the right ones that are beautiful, so you don't have to. So technically you don't get every single photo. The amount of photos will be different based on coverage time and other variables. With that in mind, a minimum of 500 edited photos for 8 hour weddings, a minimum of 300 photos for weddings less than 8 hours and a minimum of 100 edited photos for sessions.
No. Half of the beauty of photography is the editing. After all, you're hiring me because of my editing style that caught your eye! Imagine you commissioning Picasso for a piece of artwork and he only gives you a sketch! That's how it would feel. If you think I missed a photo though, please don’t feel afraid to ask!
First, I make sure my memory cards are working. I always shoot on two memory cards at once for max possible security. As soon as I get home from the wedding/session, I backup the photos on two hard drives and one icloud backup. Your final gallery also stays in a cloud storage for one year.
For weddings, yes! You’ll receive a curated preview within 7 business days after your wedding.
For sessions, I don’t typically send sneak peeks—but you’ll get Polaroids to take home at the end!
Need one for something specific (like printing or sharing)? Just let me know—I’ve got you.
This is explained in my contract and there are a few different clauses. Overall if by an act of God, pregnancy, illness, death, etc happens to present itself.. I will communicate that to you right away and come up with a solution. One option is to offer an associate photographer who will fill in for me. This would be at no additional cost to you and I will arrange every single thing for you so you don’t have to stress. Another option (which would be a last resort), is we can talk about cancellation and a refund based on services rendered.
I don’t choreograph moments or ask you to perform. Instead, I create space for things to unfold naturally. I may give light prompts to get things started, but the emotion in my work comes from real interaction, not instruction. Your photos reflect what actually happened, not what was staged.
I schedule sessions on Tuesdays or Thursdays only. Wednesdays are reserved for possible rain dates and weekends are reserved for weddings. To help out, I send my booked clients my exclusive locations guide and outfit planning guide! If a location you choose requires a permit, it is up to you to inquire and pay the permit fee.
Most of my couples feel this way. My approach is designed for people who don’t want to perform for the camera. I’ll offer gentle guidance when needed, but the focus is on helping you relax, connect, and stay present with each other. You don’t need to know how to pose or act. You just need to show up as yourselves.
I believe in keeping things authentic, real and natural. The only things I will alter are any temporary things that would not be there in a few weeks like a bruise, scrape or a pimple. I always ask if there’s any concerns or if you prefer a side. It helps me out when I’m taking photos and directing you. If your dress gets dirty or if something is distracting in the background of a few photos, like an exit sign or garbage can, I can try to remove it/fix it but no guarantees. With that being said, I am not a photoshop expert so I will try my best. I'm also not an expert in removing double chins or anything like that so I cannot do that.
I do not work from shot lists. My work is documentary, candid and in the moment so I need to be present. I can't be present if I'm looking at a list all day. The only time I will have a shot list is for family photos. I do send a questionnaire before the wedding to know what things are important to you, so I gotchu. You can certainly send me some inspo shots to get your vision but this would be purely for inspiration and I do not copy poses from other photographers.
Thalia calmed our nerves within moments. We loved that she didn't over pose us, but shared small pointers and helped guide the flow of the shoot, allowing us to express ourselves naturally. We loved how real the photos felt – Thalia's documentary style is straight out of a magazine editorial, exactly what we wanted!
