Robert Moses Beach Engagement Photography

I love beach sessions in October! Robert Moses Beach was the perfect spot for Nicole and Ryan’s engagement session. I love taking clients there as it’s more quiet and peaceful than the public beach area.

Nicole and Ryan are such a sweet couple. They mentioned they were nervous and that they’ve never been professionally photographed before and how they’re probably gonna be awkward. But right off the bat we connected with each other, telling stories and jokes. Ryan had shared that at the beginning of their dating relationship he pretended to know all the stuff about the show The Office to woo Nicole. She’s very into The Office and would watch it over and over. So Ryan would ask his cousin for some office references to then tell Nicole! I was so happy they shared that story with me. I’m an Office fan myself and I thought that story was just so adorable!

Nicole had mentioned to me that she wanted to do a champagne shot but she saw that I had done another engagement photo shoot where a couple brought their beers and she thought that was so different and cool and she wanted to do that instead! They love craft beers so naturally they brought their favorite pumpkin ale. I always suggest to couples to bring something that’s meaningful to them, it makes for really awesome photos that are uniquely catered to the couple.
