Couple looking at each other by lakeside in park

Central Park Engagement Photography

Shay and Jonathan are from New York but have never been to Central Park in the winter time. It was especially sweet for them to witness a snowy day in Central Park for their engagement photography.

It started snowing as soon as we began taking photos. I absolutely adore winter shoots, especially in NYC. There’s something about looking cozy that really takes you into the photo and the moment. We explored the area around Bow Bridge and I even found a secret pathway that led us around the frozen water. I hadn’t met Shay and Jonathan before their session, so we spent time getting to know each other. They mentioned they met in college and they’ve been together for several years.

I love this sacred time spending with my clients. I get to ask them questions about themselves and find out we have things in common. We discovered that we both are trying to perfect making latte art! We both have an espresso machine at home and we both expressed the frustration it is to create latte art with non dairy milk because of the consistency!
